The Educational Exhibition and Event “Ocean Is the Source of Life” Was Successfully Held

The educational event and exhibition titled “Ocean Is the Source of Life” was successfully organized by the joint efforts of the Cambridge School and the Department of Foreign Languages under the Nasimi campus of Hedef Lyceum.

The main goal of the event was to raise awareness among young students about the role of oceans in our lives, the importance of preserving water resources, maintaining ecological balance, and contributing to sustainable development. At the same time, it aimed to stimulate their creativity.

The event was officially opened with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The program was divided into two main parts: formal and artistic.

In the official part, distinguished guests such as Mr. Vasif Yahyayev, Senior Advisor at the Department of Water Monitoring of the State Water Use and Protection Control Service, and Ulkar Huseynbeyli, Senior Specialist of the HSE and Quality Control Department at SOCAR Petroleum CJSC, delivered impactful and informative presentations to the participants.

In their speeches, the speakers addressed key global issues such as the efficient and sustainable management of water resources, the importance of quality control in the industrial sector, and the growing necessity of ecological responsibility in modern society. These discussions were insightful and enlightening for both students and faculty.

The event continued with presentations in German, showcasing the students’ multilingual abilities and their in-depth understanding of the topic.

The artistic section featured vibrant performances prepared by the students, including poetry recitals, musical pieces, theatrical sketches, and dances. Through their creative works, students conveyed the significance of oceans in an artistic language that left a strong emotional impression on the audience.

This event once again proved that ecological topics can be taught more effectively not only through textbooks but also through creative and hands-on activities. As Hedef Lyceum, we remain committed to nurturing love for nature in future generations and encouraging them to take ecological responsibility.
